Stones In His Pockets

This is the story of what happens in a small, rural town in County Kerry, when an American film crew arrives to make a film:

Jake Quinn has just returned from a stint in America, and meets up with Charlie Conlon, as both have acquired jobs as extras on the film. Charlie has fallen on hard times, but has high aspirations and Jake is trying to adjust to life back in Ireland. Tony Devlin and John de Burca create a whole world on stage playing 15 parts between them in this award-winning, hilarious and sometimes poignant tale.

Winner of the prestigious Olivier & Evening Standard awards for Best Comedy after running for four record breaking years in London’s West End, it also ran on Broadway, where it received a Tony Award nomination for Best Comedy.

This play was performed in Irish at An Chultúrlann, Belfast by theater company Aisling Ghéar.

Cast: Tony Devlin, John Burke
